Q1: What do the rabbits symbolize in the story?

the rabits symbolize a dream or a goal. For Lennie his dream is to tend the rabbits at his and George's farm. For me my dream or goal is to be a dr so I need to work my hardest through school in order to obtain this goal. Everyone has a common goal or dream whether it be tending rabbits at a farm, being a fireman, or even the next president of the United States of America.

Q2: Choose a character in the novel (other than Curley's wife) and discuss what they represent. Use details about the character to support your answer.

Crooks is a mistreated black crippled. I think Crooks represents how black people were mistreated in that time period. He also is a big part in one of the main themes to the book which is lonelyness. He describes how if he just had one person that he could talk, didnt even care if he was listening, just the comfort of someone being there but just because he is a colored man. He is forced to live in a room by himself and is treated lower then dirt.

Q3: Describe your reactions to Lennie killing Curley's wife. What do you think will happen to Lennie now?

When I read that Lennie killed Curley's wife I could not believe it. That was the last thing I had expected to happen. I thought Curley was going to come in and get into another fight with Lennie or something. I cant imagen whats going to happen next because I never imagened Lennie would kill Curley's wife. But if I had to guess Lennie is going to run away and George is going to stay get the cash and then find Lennie and live on the fatta the land.

Q4: Discuss Curley's wife and what she represents in the novel.

I think Curleys wife represents a person who has missed there dream or goal in life. On the outside she seems like she has nothing better to do but cause trouble but once you get to know her she is actually a depressed person who feels like she missed out in life. And now she is dead which I still cant believe.
